Landsberg baker Fischer now also bakes Christmas nougat stars – the proceeds from the delicacies will once again go to LandsAid

November 2025 – The Advent season is approaching and at Landsberg master baker Bernhard Fischer, things are getting particularly sweet again – and particularly helpful at the same time! In addition to the popular Spitzbuben hearts with jam, the bakery on Hinterer Anger is now also offering delicious stars with nougat filling.

But there is more than just good taste behind these festive treats: as in previous years, part of the proceeds go to the aid organization LandsAid.

We would like to continue our support for LandsAid and the organization’s valuable work this year,” says master baker Fischer. LandsAid has been providing humanitarian aid in crisis and disaster areas around the world for almost 20 years, while at the same time carrying out sustainable development cooperation projects. The proceeds from the sale of the cookies go directly to the projects that help where support is most urgently needed – currently in Ukraine, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Ethiopia, Greece, Syria and also in Germany.

The sweet hearts have long since become a beautiful tradition – now stars are being added. “We are delighted that so many people are supporting this campaign,” continues Fischer.

In fact, a donation box in the bakery also helps to collect even more help: employees regularly donate their tips, and customers can also make a contribution by putting small or large amounts of money in the box. “Without the support of the customers who buy the cookies and donate them to the box, this campaign would not be possible,” emphasizes Fischer.

 

Especially at Christmas time, when the need to help is particularly great, the master baker hopes for a lively demand – because: “Every single cookie helps to help.”

Our press officer visited baker Fischer and talked to him about his motivation – not without trying the delicious nougat hearts, of course.
