Objectives of LandsAid e.V.

LandsAid e.V. is a nonprofit, charitable humanitarian nongovernmental organization (NGO) based in Munich (formerly in Kaufering near Landsberg am Lech). LandsAid’s work aims to provide rapid and professional assistance to people who are in distress due to natural or environmental disasters, armed conflicts, or oppression. Humanitarian emergency aid will always be targeted and time-limited. Nevertheless, within the scope of its capabilities, the organization strives to empower those affected to help themselves and thus offer them prospects for the future.

This objective is implemented in three areas:

Rapid emergency medical assistance in the event of a disaster, in cooperation with local partners. In this area, close cooperation with technical rescue services is sought where necessary.

Humanitarian project work in crisis areas. This work is carried out primarily in the fields of primary healthcare and nutrition, in accordance with precisely defined criteria. LandsAid places great emphasis on effective cooperation with other NGOs and UN organizations. According to LandsAid’s mission statement, the willingness to take action is automatically linked to the obligation to continue providing this aid until the predefined goal is achieved or external circumstances prevent the work from continuing.

For LandsAid, training and raising awareness among local and international professionals are integral to the two areas mentioned above. LandsAid is responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient use of donations in all three areas.

In accordance with its bylaws, the LandsAid association is independent of any government, non-denominational, and apolitical, and operates in accordance with the internationally recognized principles of humanitarian aid, as set forth in the International Red Cross’s “Code of Conduct.”

We help regardless of ethnic origin, nationality, social status, political conviction, gender or religion. Assistance is provided according to need. It tries as far as possible to use local resources to implement the measures.

We see partnership work in foreign countries and contact with people from other cultures as an opportunity to promote mutual understanding. The aim is to deliberately encourage people to learn from each other. In this way, LandsAid also aims to make a contribution to peaceful conflict resolution.

Principles of the work of LandsAid e.V.

All LandsAid employees and members are committed to the core values of compassion, sincerity, mutual respect, and respect for human dignity. Their involvement is voluntary, altruistic, and never intended to spread or promote political or religious ideologies.
