The history of LandsAid e.V.
For the first eleven months after the association was founded, LandsAid’s work was organized from a private apartment in Kaufbeuren (in the Allgäu region). After just one year, the growing organization was able to rent office space in Kaufering (near Landsberg am Lech)—the location where LandsAid was headquartered for nearly 20 years. In November 2025, the office moved to Munich.
From the very beginning, the organization has focused not only on providing rapid emergency aid in the event of disasters and carrying out humanitarian projects, but also on training and providing follow-up support to emergency responders. The project work, in particular, has grown significantly since then: Since its founding, the organization has carried out approximately 220 projects and relief missions in about 40 countries worldwide.
